Seylo is a place to talk with people you know and the groups you’re part of. These guidelines keep it safe and usable for everyone. They apply everywhere on Seylo — direct messages, groups, profiles, and anything you share.
Treat people with respect
Disagreement is fine; cruelty isn’t. Don’t harass, threaten, bully, or target people with hateful content based on who they are — including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
Zero tolerance
These result in immediate removal and, where required, a report to authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors. We report this to the relevant authorities without exception.
- Threats of violence or coordinating harm against people
- Sharing someone’s private information without consent (doxxing)
- Content that promotes or encourages self-harm or suicide
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
Don't abuse the service
- No spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or scams
- No malware, phishing, or attempts to break or overload the service
- Don’t impersonate other people or organizations
- Don’t use Seylo to sell illegal goods or coordinate illegal activity
- Respect intellectual property — don’t share content you don’t have the right to
A note on private messages
Direct messages on Seylo are end-to-end encrypted, which means we can’t read them. We rely on you to report abuse you receive. When you report a message, the relevant content is shared with us so we can act on it — reporting is how private-conversation safety works.
How to report
You can block anyone directly from their profile or the conversation details — this stops all contact from them immediately. To report something that breaks these guidelines, email abuse@nexbitltd.com with details and screenshots if you have them. See our Contact page for other ways to reach us.
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on severity, we may remove content, warn the person, restrict features, or permanently close the account. Serious violations — especially those involving minors or credible threats — result in immediate account termination and, where the law requires, a report to authorities.
These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service. If something here is unclear, the Terms are the governing agreement.
